MEET COACH AMY

Amy is compassionate and nurturing. She instills hope and helps others find motivation within themselves to create a more meaningful life. Amy has been working in the mental health and addiction field for over five years. She has over 3,000 hours of direct experience working in addiction counseling settings. Amy focuses on establishing a person-centered coaching relationship based in harm reduction-based recovery principles.

Amy firmly believes everyone has trauma that trauma impacts recovery. Trauma is often at the core of addictive patterns. Amy believes every individual has the the capacity to recovery from past trauma, experience healing, and thrive within society. She uses a trauma-informed approach and is willing to refer out to training counselors and psychologists on an as needed basis.

Amy affirms that "Recovery takes a village," and "Healing moves at the speed of life." It takes solid relationships and connections to build a meaningful foundations of safety and belonging in the world. Amy's coaching focuses on building systems of belonging and acceptance within healthy settings, practicing harm reduction, and learning to be more self-compassionate towards yourself, others, and the planet.

Amy does not take a one-size-fits-all approach to addiction recovery. She thinks outside the box and realizes that the key to a healthy life is different for every individual she encounters. It is the client who is the expert on their life. Through healing trauma and connecting to others, each individual has the capacity to heal from trauma and addiction.
